First Ultrasound Results
We had our first ultrasound today. Kam is currently 7 weeks, 1 day along.
The ultrasound room was dimly lit, and has a screen above the table so Mom can watch without having to turn her head. I was able to watch the same screen as the radiologist. So the thing initializes, and up on the screen right away we see two dark circles alternating back and forth. I first think that it is just the machine providing different angles.
Kamie speaks up and says looks like there are two. And the radiologist replies with a yes. I’m stunned, and my legs start to shake. We are having twins. What a feeling. I’m happy as can be and surprised, and scared all at the same time.
Boy that machine is something. They zoom right in and we can see the little hearts fluttering, then click a button, and up comes a chart of the heartbeat, then to another click with the sound of the heartbeat. My soon to be children never looked so real to me. Since finding out, it’s hard to explain, but it didn’t really sink in until today I thik. Until I actually saw the heartbeat. Wow is all I can say. Such cute little things.
I’ll be posting the ultrasound pics soon to the gallery, so everyone can see what twins looks like. These are fraternal twins, because they are in seperate sacks. Identical would share one.
