Third Appointment

December 28th, 2006

Today was quick, but good.  We got a quick glimpse of the twins to check for heartbeats on the ultrasound, and both were fine.  One of them had the hiccups, and was sucking his thumb, which was super cute.

Both are heads up right now, with one facing sideways, and the other facing straight out.  Kam is 14 Weeks, 1 day.

As of today or yesterday the bad symptoms seemed to have stopped.  Good news, and crossing fingers to hope it stays that way.

The doctor brought up a question for us to figure out for our next visit.  We can get a blood test performed to detect a couple defects and issues like down syndrome, and spinal ep-something or other.  We’re not sure what to do, as the test is not conclusive and can produce false positives.  Worrying for nothing doesn’t sound fun, especially after what we just went through.  Not decided yet though.

We don’t have another appointment for another month, but I’ll try to post more updates anyways.  We need to get a newer side shot of the belly up in the photo gallery.  Have a good new year holiday!

    Hey dude,

I did not get the testing done with either pregnancy - as far as I’m concerned it just adds more stress to the pregnancy - and Kamie does not need that - nor do you.
    Just my opinion.

    Love ya
