32 Week Appointment & No More Work
May 4th, 2007
Well it’s official. No more work for Kamie. As of 9:45 today there will be no more work until at least 6 weeks after delivery which we are still hoping will be around 37 weeks but the immediate goal is to make it the almost 2 more weeks to 34 weeks.
There’s nothing new really else to report though, the babies looked good-still in the same spots. Dr. didn’t say what I was measuring and I felt silly if I asked, so I didn’t and I was thinking about all the things I needed to take care of when I got back to work. Thankfully this is just a non-work, less stress, less movement but not bed-stricken bedrest. Basically a more relaxed, sedentary period where I can lie down on the couch if I start having 6 contractions in an hour and where widgets aren’t counted and goals to have met, ect.
The babies have become extremely active lately always moving around and kicking, punching me. I like to think they are playing with each other as well. When we watched In the Womb:Multiples on National Geographic a month or so back, they talked and showed the playful peeking thru the amniotic sacs that wouuld happen in the womb and afterwards then when they grew up they might play on opposite sides of a hung sheet-reverting back to the womb. James mentioned how he can’t wait to see them, and among other things-see if they do play like that with the sheet.
I’m a bit anxious, nevervous, restless all tied into one about being off work. I do have the baby blankets to finish up, but with the wrist pain I’ve been having it’s been quite hard to move my wrist that way as of lately. I’ll be able to easily without stress get the birth announcements done. I’ve been doing a little here and a little there, but now I can do them whenever I feel up to it during the day. I’ll be able to brush up on my photography skills.
