Mini Update
We are well into our lovely visit with Grandma Susie, yey! We are happy she’s here. After a very long trip back from Chicago due to construction, it took us 6 hours. We arrived back and the kids were all warmed up nicely.
I’m pleased that people are reading the blog. Please don’t hesitate to drop us a line or call or tell someone who can let us know if you aren’t able to read the blog or see photos. We are likely keeping the blog, and we want you guys to be able to use it and see the things.
Susie said something about an update about James’ allergies. So here is one.
James is doing well with his rice milk. Soy gave him some major diaper issues, though he’s not allergic to soy, we had to cut that. But he’s ‘normal’ now with rice milk. Negative is that it costs about $40 a month in milk for just him.
He continues to have troubles when he has too much wheat. We use wheat-free products whenever possible. It’s amazing how many products have wheat. His special bread is $4 a loaf, and you get 6 meals out of it for him. Then there are the snacks he shouldn’t have, so we buy $4 cheese puffs with no what, or $3 rice cakes, and the list goes on. But you can tell by his belly bloat and the face rash when he’s had too much.
Peanuts are completely cut out in any form.
No peanut oil, no actual peanuts. No anything processed near or around or anything with peanuts.
It really truly is unbelievable unless you have to check for it, how many products have wheat or are processed near peanuts. I know Susie exclaims during most meals at the things he can’t have.
We are having a good time here!
It’s been a cooler rainier week which has had us cooped up inside for most the week. We got to store & lunch out today, so that’s been nice!
I want to post this, before James & Susie get back, they went to the grocery store for me.
But I want to try to post more often. I wasn’t aware we had so many silent followers.
