Return to the GI Dr.
January 13th, 2010
James returns to the GI Dr on Friday.
We’ve decided that James absolutely needs to go back to as much as possible, a wheat free diet.
The miralax (balance the water in your system) has not done what the Dr felt it might/could.
James has in my mind several characteristics (wasted buttocks/pot belly/enamel hypoplasia/his diaper issues/crabby-irritable-’naughty’ when he’s having issues/doesn’t eat when he’s having issues/joint pain when he’s having issues) for celiac, so I guess we will see what the Dr. thinks after finding out this didn’t change things.
I am sure many other things could be causing any of the above.
We just want James to feel better.
I picked up a new lotion for him, he’s SO itchy right now. Aveeno apparently isn’t the answer either as he’s more itchy since it.
Evelyn has taken to being a bit more trying, daring, not listening.
She’s challenging us, daily. She had been our sweet, helpful girl. She’s still helpful sometimes… but she’s saying “No” a lot, and doing things to see our reactions, even though she knows they aren’t allowed. The other day while I was in the bathroom she took my camera from the kitchen downstiars into our family room. The camera is $1300 ! I’d have cried if it was broke.
She is helpful though-she has taken this week to undressing James in the morning - this actually was the main reason J&E got split up when they did.
James was doing well recently and went a week or so with his PJs not put on backward (footie only) and duct taped over the snap/zipper. But, he’s having another ‘episode’ and is back to wanting his clothes off and diaper to scratch, scratch, scratch.
I tried a new lotion, an intense itch control… no luck. Even his expensive (we got samples thankfully from the allergist) medication isn’t helping
